The Bar Room Poker Tour brings the thrill of tournament poker to local bars, combining competition, great prizes, and giving back—all in one event. Whether you're a seasoned player or just love the game, our tour gives you the chance to play, win, and make a difference at the same time. Unlike a casino, where you’d pay for travel, hotel stays, and house fees, a portion of each buy-in goes directly to charity—so instead of just feeding the house, you’re helping support a great cause. The rest goes toward prizes for the top finishers, making every tournament both exciting and rewarding.
Compete for prizes. Play for a purpose. At the Bar Room Poker Tour, We’re All In For Charity.
About Me – Founder of BRPT (Bar Room Poker Tour)
My name is Brian McCarthy, and I am the founder of BRPT – Bar Room Poker Tour. I’ve always had a passion for the game of poker, but even more so, I love using it as a way to bring people together for a greater purpose—helping those in need.
Over the years, my fundraising efforts have supported causes close to my heart, including hurricane relief, opioid awareness campaigns, scholarships in memory of my brother who passed away due to opioid addiction, and food drives for local pantries. Now, with BRPT, I am committed to making an even bigger impact by partnering with local organizations to raise funds through charity poker tournaments.
These tournaments create a win-win for everyone involved—players get to enjoy the game while competing for a share of the prize pool, and nonprofits benefit as half of the proceeds go directly to their cause. With the support of the community and our partnerships, I believe we can raise $100,000 for local charities in 2025.
At Bar Room Poker Tour, we’re "All In For Charity." We’re not just playing cards—we’re building a stronger community, one hand at a time.
We can't wait to see you at our next event.
